I was just about to say "I wish I was opening my SS books right now"...but before I could...something urged me to check my front door. THEY"RE HERE!!! Just about to open the box...

Picking up this book on the weekend...

Welcome back CC. I finally got a copy of this book for my Byrne collection....

Up until somewhat recently....I had a minimum allowable grade of VF+ for these books, and considered them over-priced in that grade. Since I've decided to downgrade a large portion of my collection, these 'reading copies' fit right in.

Finally added these 2 books to my collection....

Pulled this minty fresh Jungle Action from the back-issue bins yesterday....

Picked this up off the rack when it came out...and it was the 1st double-cover I'd ever seen. Thinking about getting Miller to sign the 1st page & slabbing it with a yellow label.

The double cover isn't an error. All copies of this book have it.

Stopped by my LCS on my lunch break, and picked up another book missing from my checklist. KUDOS to AlexH for hooking me up....and Doug ('comic manager' on these boards) for making the exchange.

Got this set in the mail today.... All six books are signed by Byrne on the 1st page. KUDOS to fellow forum member Sal for the link.

I might have an extra copy... I can aquire one also if interested.... I've got a nice copy....but dupes are always welcome. Now accepting PMs..

Anyone here answer how they got a signature series Nightmare #20 Got the book off a fellow forum member, then gave it...along with 14 comic books..to Peter Dixon from Paradise Comics. He then traveled to Byrne's " final convention appearance " in Ohio, and got him to sign them in the presence of a CGC witness . I was supposed to be there as well.....but circumstances beyond my control prevented me from making it.

Anyone here own the 9.4 or 9.6 copy of Marvel Preview 11? I've got a bunch of F/VF copies...but would be interested in an upgrade.

How about a Nightmare 20 is 9.2? What do you think would be a fair price?

Not sure how much Byrne contributed to the cover. Byrne always(there are exceptions) signs his cover work, and I don't see any artist sig on that cover. It's the only Marvel book I'm missing from Roger Stern's checklist in The Art of John Byrne.

According to OS, Byrne worked on this cover. Wonder why CGC didn't note it. That cover really brings me back as well...
