  1. Kudos to sterlingcomics for a person_without_enough_empathyen Weird War Tales 1. Thanks Sterling
  2. Kudos to Dr. Banner for a smokin' Hot Wheels 3. Thanks Mike.
  3. Kudos to BronzeBruce13, yabas and all, for some sky high grade Bronze Age beauties. Thanks for the extras too. (thumbs u
  4. Kudos to 50 Cent #II (1st) for a person_without_enough_empathyen American Splendor 1. That is the nicest 9.0 I have ever seen and CGC might think it a 9.4+.
  5. Kudos to musicmeta for a sharp Harbinger 1 with lightning quick delivery. Thanks Michael
  6. Your 9.4 would qualify for that and would look good on ebay.
  7. I asked for scans but never got them. Based on the small scans, I was surprised to see the auction at $555 with an hour to go so I posted the link, but the final price is even more of a jaw dropper.
  8. Anybody watching this one? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=140248279617&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=004
  9. Don't get me wrong here, I completely agree with what you're saying (which is why I referred to "ebay grading" in my previous reply). My point is merely that if the buyer ends up being unhappy with the purchase, he can simply point to what the seller wrote in the description, and as such will have no problem getting a paypal refund, filing a chargeback, etc. I believe you're right in that regard. I love how the newest auction describes the comic as having "tiny moisture spots". That means its only worth $350
  10. The buyer might not have much of a complaint, but they can still leave a negative without any worry of retaliation. You have to love the new ebay rules.
  11. Ouch ... I smell an ebay negative coming along ... I didn't buy it. I was interested to see what it looked like up close and if it was worth doing an ebay gamble on. I passed at $200 on the gamble. Somebody took a shot at $400+ though.
  12. I got scans on the book that just sold for $400. It looks like a 7.0/7.5 at best and it was at $200 or so at the time so I thought it was too high to even take a shot at it.
  13. ....and I almost forgot, to topnotchman/topnotchcomics for a nice Miracleman book
  14. Kudos to Pitboss, grails, comix4fun, rza808 and valiantman for superb transactions (thumbs u
  15. Right back at you Count. Lightning fast paypal quicker than The Flash. (thumbs u Thanks Nelson
  16. That is just point blank wrong. I have had this happen to me while doing a walk through and been charged for a higher value at the point of submission, only to have the book come back at a lower grade, and I received a refund for all amounts paid over the minimum fee. I don't know how many walk throughs you have done, but I have submitted hundreds of books now and have had very few issues with CGC, and when something comes up, I have found them to be very accomodating, including the walk through refund issue. You could just contact the billing department and work it out directly, but I don't see the need to flame them on the boards.
  17. Just pay Pirate the $20 you owe him and be done with all the whining!
