Are you trying to say mine is not 9.4? Guess I overpaid.Congratulations, T-plant. A friend of mine who collects extremely high grade CGC Four Colors has started also buying up raw "reading copies" which - for him - means the VF-range
. Perhaps it's some comfort to those of us who can't pay $28K for a CGC 9.4 that even the people who do also want to be able to browse through those very cool stories.

I'm planning on listing 2 key books tonight along with some other stuff.
I will be selling my Daredevil 1 and also Four Color 386. Both are lower grade but affordable. I will also be relisting some trades.

Except for the first 5 (bought from a boardie here) it was a bulk purchase from an original owner collection. I was shocked by how nice the FC386 was. As for selling off doubles, I really do need to do that. I have lots of undercopies that are Barks ducks, WDCS, DD & US. Just need to find the time to cull my collection.Great pickup, I do love the Barks' Ducks - a "bulk" deal perhaps - as I note with interestthere are a couple of doubles.

Well, this is kind of embarassing.....But here seemed a good place to post this...
If anyone has received a Phantom Stranger 14 in the mail from me as part of a set of books you bought, can u please let me know. While it makes a nice freebie, the book was bought by another board member and for the life of me I can't find it. So if I accidentally sent it to someone, PM me and we'll see if we can't get it to its rightful owner.
And yes, I'm a dork.
You're not alone. I had a certain board seller send me someone's book by mistake. No biggie, I just shipped it forward for him.

Interesting side note on the 8.5. The same copy sold at Heritage in August 2007 for $1673. I wouldn't want to be the person flipping that book for a loss of 800 before fees. Ouch.

Wow Angelo! what a book! I have pretty much resigned myself to never owning that one.
Can I ask how much the 7.0 FC199 went for Matt? I have been noticing much lower prices on ducks for a year now, and just wondering if it's still dropping or hitting a plateau. I have a nice 199, more of a 6.0/6.5 though, raw that I picked up for $175.
The 7.0 went for $331 and the 8.5 went for $850.
Hard to tell on the 8.5. GPA has an '03 sale of $550 and an 08/07 sale of $1673
Apparently that pulled out this copy but no repeat of that big price. Heritage has a 9.0 that is already at $1600 but the last sale of 1955 was in '02. There are 3 other blue labels higher so it will be interesting to see.
The last GPA sales for the 7.0 were 306/310 so not a bargain there, but not a huge leap.

Kinda like me buying a mid grade copy of Captain America 1 for my first Timely. (thumbs uYeah, i think I did, too. Really couldn't believe how low the bidding was, and I'm not even a Duck guy. This my first Duck/Disney/Funny Animal book. Pretty good way to start off

I'm out $240 to Matmarvels, for six X-23 comics, which He says shipped 11/22/07. I understand I should'nt have waited so long to post this... at least now I can say I gave Him more than the benifit of a doubt to resolve this problem... at the moment He hasn't replied to My PM's. this was My 1st buy thru these forums. now it will probably be My last.
Looks like Matmarvel hasn't posted on here since middle of December. We had a smooth trade towards the end of last year. Have you tried PM'g (Matmarvel not Matmarvels) or emailing?
