Kudos to Pirate for a nifty Spectre tpb that I plan to read, some day, and my first moderns in a long time.

 

Also (thumbs u to johnenock for a replacement 100 pager that's almost as nice as the one I traded for a BA 'Tec, DD 7 beater and $15 cash at my last show. Am I bragging, yes. Am I happy with this transaction, yes.

This is not really the place and truthfully, I'm not disputing your figures, but nobody really knows what witnesses make per book. There is not set fee schedule and nobody but witnesses know what the fees charged, by them and to them, are.

 

I still say a good outing often has miraculous results, if you've had no result via PM. That said, make sure you both still show as participants in any PMs you sent.

I wouldn't just post here, I'd post in the probation thread. 3 months is too much and, yes, I consider, this a board transaction. Same way if they had purchased in the Signature areas FS thread.

The reason I asked for a discussion thread in the first place was b/c of Daken2626. The idea was that people could post their problems with buyers/sellers without having to wait the "official" 30 days for probation. Seems nothing has changed. New thread.

Not unread by Shieldagent. Unread by none. So I stick my earlier claims that, if you say that it said unread by Transplant and then later said unread by none, you are either remembering incorrectly or outright lying.

I have sent hundreds of pm's without a problem, and I know what I saw, and I know what happened. But because Transplant insists that it is not true, well, then it is not true. And if he can keep on saying whatever, then obviously I am not only lying, but I never even had the books in the first place.

I did explain why, and I will try again--read this real slow---I sent the PM, it said unread by Transplant. Later on it said unread by none. This happened four times. There was no need for me to believe there was something wrong.

 

As to the books in question--yes, you may have them to do with whatever you please, but I will not send them to you. I do not want your money. As a matter of fact I want nothing to do with a person like you. I will ask foolkiller, redhook, donut, darthdiesel, or Al Stoltz, to receive the books, verify they are what I said they were, then ship them to you. I will even pay shipping to that person. The part i dont get is...if you won the comics weeks and weeks ago...you never PMed the seller asking for what the total was? You just sat around after saying you would take the books and did nothing? Something smells bad there.

I won't get mad just because you didn't read the whole thread before posting the above accusatory statement. Here's my first post after Shieldagent jumped the gun:

If you emailed me after this, that might be the problem. I couldn't use my normal gmail on signup here and created another email account with my ISP, charter. It was supposed to autoforward, but I don't think I've ever received anything through it. Couldn't you just PM me? I think I can provide you with a ton of people I've purchased from here who can attest to my quick payments. Truthfully, I had forgotten about these books when I didn't get an invoice.

 

If you emailed and I didn't get it, use a PM next time. If you PM'd and can point me to where that was, I'll give a public mea culpa right here. Otherwise, pound sand. Your move.

In summary, I did ask for a total. I was in the middle of a selling thread and dealing with buyers. When I didn't get an invoice, I forgot about it. It's happened just recently as well. Bought something from Pirate. He forgot to invoice me and I forgot to ask for one as well. He PM'd me to apologize and we'll be closing that deal soon as well. Hope that clears it up for you. Of course, you could have PM'd me and I'd have been glad to have explained it to you also.

How about you guys just draw a line under it and complete the deal?

If someone starts a PM thread and the participants message each other back and forth a few times then everything is fine. What happens is one of the participants will delete the message on their end and then the other participant will try to send a message in that PM thread. Since the receiver has deleted the PM on their side the receiver instantly gets that the message is unread by none even though the receiver never actually received it.

 

Moral of the story: If you want to make sure that someone receives your message, start a new PM and don't send off of an old one.

 

It would nice if we could be notified if the message didn't go through.

The point is that I have suggested several ways that you could have called this matter to my attention without a public posting that was accusatory and confrontational in nature. You've failed to give any reason as to why you didn't explore those options first. To my knowledge, this is the first time I've seen a dispute where the seller says they invoiced someone and the buyer claims to have never received it. As for your allegations that you would see that the PMs had been read by me, that it just a lie plain and simple. I've admitted that it is at least possible that you sent a PM invoice and that either 1) I never got it, like others who now report some missing PMs, or 2) I accidentally deleted it. Either way, I certainly never deleted a PM after reading it each time you asked for money. Now, go pound sand, fist yourself, whatever. You could have deleted the original PM thread so it'll show as being read on ShieldAgent's side because he's essentially talking to himself.

 

If he clicks the participants part on the top he can see if there is more than just him around.

I don't think I've deleted a PM since I got here but it's possible. We had a PM thread going that he could've used. Could've PM'd separately to just contact him. Calling me out like this seems a little over the top when I'm here buying/selling/posting the whole time. ADDED: And on $9 worth of books too.
