  1. When did this happen? I did a check on your posts in the Sales Forum and don't see you addressing the problem you're claiming... Jim Same here. First thing I did when I read this was to search to see who the alleged deadbeat was. Nothing there.
  2. Yeah but the original comment was that selling without returns should be a probationary type of offense. What's next, not offering media mail shipping? Bad packaging? All of that falls in the personal preferences that can be worked out in advance. Er...it wasn't. It was a question whether it should be...there is a difference. (thumbs u Mea culpa. It was a question.

  4. Hah. You can't bait me into complaining so much I'm asked to do it myself. You can keep your unpaid, PITA, thankless, time consuming, self-appointed position. I'm too smart for you.
  5. So I came to this thread to say that I finally got my books from Daken after I put him in this thread and filed a Paypal dispute, but it looks like he's already been removed. I guess this is part of the problem with a list like this. Anyway, he's cleared my situation.
  6. Amazing what a good outing will do. Oh yeah. And a Paypal dispute.
  7. No just after buying from MH because no one else has the book. Have I secretly stumbled across the comedians' section of the forum? So many attempts at humor, so few laughs.
  8. Poll here on what time deadlines to have before posting offenders to this thread.
  9. Nice pickup given that the GPA for a 7 was 412 in 10/07. That you got it got it for less than $500 makes this a steal. EDIT to add: Just realized that the sale reported was Jerry Weist's sale of Barks' personal file copy.
  10. If you ask me you guys should really cut this figure in half... At the least, make it open to calling someone out if you haven't gotten any response for 15 days or more.
  11. Did he get in a car wreck then also? I've seen a few different people post that it took a long time to get their books, so be patient. However, 30 days is the cutoff and he didn't respond to my last PM. I posted here and in his last sales thread to warn others.
  12. Are you saying they could work off the $20?
  13. Been over 30 days on a transaction with Daken2626. Paypal'd $20 to him at pab1980@juno.com on 9-8-07. A series of PMs and email went unanswered until I received this: Sorry for the delay, I was in a severe car accident and totaled my girlfriend's car, Here is your delivery confirmation number #0306 3030 0003 3038 4385 To check the status go to http://www.usps.com Thanks again and be on the lookout for some more of my great deals!!! I then PM'd back offering my condolences and pledging to notify him when the books were received. On 10-5, with no delivery confirmation showing in the USPS system and no books, I PM'd again. No response since then. Paypal information: Priscilla Bracamontes pab1980@juno.com Here is the thread that he/she started the day that he/she PM'd with a DC#. Looks like this person may have duped some others out of $$.
  14. Public thanks to Kite. This is a fun little (big) book that I've never seen. He sent it as a freebie. Thanks Kite.
  15. I remember reading this in an old 64-pager from the 60's cant find it at the moment Not this one. This is part of the Rosa series telling Scrooge's life story. The steamboat race you're thinking of was done by Barks. Can't rattle the original issue off though.
  16. Can't judge from the scan. You thought it would be lower/higher? I was actually wondering how the one before it was a 9.4 given the bumps on the spine. I'm becoming more and more convinced of the sliding age grading scale.
  17. Guess I'll hold off listing some Barks issues for a few weeks.
  18. I've read that the print run was only 10,000 or so. Who knew?
  19. If anybody remembers my post re: the LG Scrooge collection I bought might be interested in the following. The guy who sold me that collection had held back 4 or 5 books and asked for an add'l $100. I paid $500 for close to 400 books including a run of 1-100. I balked at the time not having any idea of the low print runs of 310. That 310 that went for $132 on Ebay was his.
  20. Don't know if these have been shown recently. Recently tried to sell in the marketplace, but no takers. Therefore, I guess I will have to hold on to them for awhile. Woe is me.
