For any one interested there are a few more than usual 35 cent Variants on FEE BAY right now. Including Rawhide Kid 141 and IF-14. Looks like one seller has a lot listed, his prices seem a bit optimistic I think!

Since this thread was ressurected I Niticed my post above got screwed up in photobucket! It wont let me edit it so I figured I repost my favorite Dennis. Issue 1 Low grade but considering the scarcity...I am happy!

Yes I love Dennis as well! It holds up surprisingly well for this 43 year old! I have been reading some recently and I find I am enjoying it as much as when I WAS A YOUNG CHILD! Little Lulu and Archie are a couple of my Favorites as well!! I will keep my eyes peeled for you! i am sure you have allready posted this request in the OA section, if not those guys might be able to help!

Wow!!! You are setting your sites in the Stratosphere!!! I would imagine those are going to be a nightmare to find, if there are still any around, and the ones that are are probably locked up tight in collections! Good luck though That would be some way cool art to own!!!

CGC allways seems tuff on the Dells, some of those look really sweet for the grades!!

Yep Ebay, as to How many bidders? Cant remember its been a few months, But there is usually a lot of interest in IF -14 when it comes up in any grade. For me "and Im sure others", its one of those comics that I will usually spend more than is prudent, just because you never know when you may have the chance again.Guide price on the Variants, really has no bearing on actuall prices realized it seems.

Where do you find the raw books? Hard to find in Canada I think, unless a dealer happens to bring some in a box at a con. eBay books seem expensive too Ebay is where I have won any variants I OWN.

Picked this up on the Boards a few months ago!

so, here is the real story. I saw the book right after it was listed. lucky timing, I guess. I bid, as I usually do. Then I sent an email where I told the seller that I had one, but was asking if he had any more variants besides the defenders that he had listed. the seller wrote me back and told me he had recieved a large offer for the book, and since I already have one, would I mind if he took that offer. I then told him the sales prices of the last two copies to show up on ebay, and their grades. Then I blogged about the book at variantmafia.com. I guess that makes me the dork, because the seller chose to put up bigger scans. No offense! I used the term "Dork" In the nicest way..you know.. it was a term of endearmant. In other words I used the word "Dork" as Greggy would use it!
