I picked this up the other Day, its not a Pulp but it is definitly Pulp related since it was a self Published Amateur journanlism Pamphlet By Farnsworth Wright in 1904 called the Laurel. This was years before Weird Tales Began. Farnsworth Wright for those not Familiar with Pulps was Highly instrumental in Pushing forward the Careers of H.P. Lovecraft and Robert E Howard among others as the most famous and influential editor of Weird Tales Magazine. This is the only issue ever produced and I have never seen another copy.

way cool!!! I considered Bidding on the Action Comics 12 up on the Bay since it had the Detective 27 ad but little rough and I overspent allready the last two weeks. Not sure if that auction ended or not yet.....

Low Grade but semi Affordable. Plus it has the Action Comics #1 ad on the interior front cover that I have been looking for.

Thanks everyone! I was quite excited to finally find this! When I first started looking I seriously thought it would be not too difficult to aquire a copy. Way wrong on that score!! I figured with My Paypal inflated I would do a few searches and make a few calls and have one in a few Days! I really developed a love for Pulps in the Time it took me to find this. Man there is some really cool stuff out there and could justify a Thread all their own. Very difficult to keep focused and not blow my Wad on other Items. But I held fast stayed focused and When the opportunity arose BAM!!!!

It is a very Rare Propoganda Promo put out by Catechetical press in the Early 50s About 20 copies estimated to be around.

This should be in Hand in a couple days. Probably the tuffest item I have ever tracked down outside of Blood is the Harvest! Conans first Appearance anywhere "Phoenix on the Sword" Weird Tales December 1932

Nice stuff Guys and Gals!! Especially Love the Jugheads Fantasy Comics!! Allways wanted nice copys of those. Is that issue 3 tuffer to Aquire than the First?

Interesting how Overstreet Values the Color copys over the Black and White. Both are obviously quite rare, but the Black and white copys more so.

Mark, do you have a copy of the Rare Book Portfolio, not the original set by Sparkle City but the ones reissued recently. I cant remember who printed them, but Part of this re-issue set has the entire story Behind "The find" Jay explains and confirms the Preist bringing in the Copys of Blood is the Harvest to a Convention as I remember. If I can find time this weekend I will scan it.

Gonna start a thread this afternoon "All Ducks" All early Uncle Scrooge, WDCS, Donald Ducks etc. I might put up my Four Color 386 First Scrooge. Not sure yet.
