  3. I posted this in the "What's New" thread but wanted to post here as well since I so excited to get this commission. It is my first commission so forgive my newbie excitement - I was a huge fan of Mike Gustovich and the Justice Machine back in the 1980s and thanks to fellow boardie and artist/creator, Dave Aikins who connected me with Mike recently, I have my first commission and fabulous piece of art. Mike is one of my favorite creators and I was ecstatic to speak with him - actually giddy may be a better word. Mike was excellent to work with, his communication was amazing. I wish I had better pictures to share but I hope you can see, Mike knocked this out of the park. Absolutely awesome piece of work. For anyone interested in Mike's contact info, shoot me a PM - you can't go wrong with a commission from him. So without further ado, I present the Justice Machine vs. Darkseid!

  5. Yep this is 1A. the cover to 1B is much more robust. I need to pick it up.

  11. Shout out to Rich Henn for getting these done. Arrived today after nearly five months in Sarasota. Hoping for 9.8s but 3 out of 4 ain't bad.
  12. Well I was off by several years. I need to dig through and see what I have of those issues.
  13. I should have all of these issues but can't lay my hands on all the issues in which it ran. It was by Ron Wilbur with an assist by Jim Van Hise, I believe. This is from the strip in #142. I would post pics of a few pretty graphic Wonder Woman panels in this one but they are adult only - makes you wonder how she stayed in her costume, well she actually didn't
  14. Are you thinking of Twilight of the Heroes?
  15. Hi Bart. Thanks sharing all of these. Those Newtons are tremendous. He was a personal favorite and in my opinion very much underappreciated. We lost him way too young. And you haven't aged a bit. Jeff
  16. Them's nice. I had to look up the cover artist of the 81 Heavy Metal issue. Had never heard of him and that is a great cover
  17. Yep. They do have a footnote on value that reads - In the event that CGC, at its sole discretion, determines that the fair market value is higher than the value stated by the submitter, CGC will move the comic book to the appropriate higher tier and the additional charge will be the responsibility of the submitter. This happened to me once. It was actually a nice surprise as they discovered one of my submitted books was a pedigree. It did cost me more but still a nice find. I try to save up if I have books that I can do as Value (Fast Track) till I hit the 15 number. It takes me a while as I buy most books slabbed already though.
  18. It just depends on the tier and value, Claudio. You have to use a different invoice for mags than for comic submissions. SS has its own invoice form as well. CGC Tiers and Fees
  19. CGC considers them mags for grading though because of their size so they are subbed on the magazine tier. Same as books like TMNT #1-4.
  20. Mike Those are great Especially the Captain Britains.
  21. I need to keep up - don't get on here as much anymore. I love those PotA weeklies. Great colors. I just sent in a few copies of Spectacular Spider-Man #1 and #2. I'll post them when they come back. Yours looked very nice as does the MP #2.
  22. I missed it. That has a great Starlin cover. $150 seems like a steal. It is the only 9.8 in the census. Did you pick up anything at the con?
