  1. I dont know, but honestly I wouldnt worry about it. I've had submissions I know that went in before others on here that came back way after. I dont think there's any hard fast expectations in that regard when it comes to CGC.
  2. I've sent so many in i've lost track of which delivery is which, but I believe the 15th.
  3. CCS pressing on fast track modern from October just went into CCS in process last week. Also charged my card.
  4. Nope. Submitted express Feb 15th on a book, got it back march 6th. Pressing and grading. Maybe I got lucky, but that was the timeline.
  5. Express will get it to you in under a month and cost you around 230 bucks, grading and CCS pressing.
  6. I know this has likely been answered, but I've had a few books come back with dents I KNOW weren't there originally and had to have come during the encapsulation process...does CGC require proof that the book didnt have the dent before they will have CCS press?
  7. Modern slow is just as bad, I just went into the equivalent of G/E/I in a modern slow tier that was received first week of August. Though I sent in another book on a higher tier and it came back within two weeks...which is essentially express except it cost me 60ish bucks.
  8. If you are primarily looking to display it, why pay the extra money for the newstand anyway?
  9. Doing an express myself, curious if they can keep their turnaround rates...if you could update as it goes that would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Has anyone ever done CCS pressing/grading as express? How good are they about keeping their turnaround times on that level?
  11. I know the issue has been discussed in this thread before, but finally received a book i've been waiting for since July back with a score I'm not thrilled with. Appears to be a dent that I definitely do not recall having been there before, that I dont see indicated in the grader's notes. I am immediately sending back for an quick turnaround pressing (which in fairness to them I probably should have done to begin given a few of the issues the book has). A bit disappointing to be honest.
  12. I was probably just a bit younger, 11 or 12 when Valiant was HUGE. Impossible to find those issues on a junior high allowance....by the late 90s the market had tanked so hard I was able to get the early Rai issues (who along with Bloodshot was my favorite character) for dirt cheap. Was saddened by the time Joe St Pierre stopped on the series because it always defined it for me. End of last month I finally sent Rai 0 and Rai 1 in for pressing and grading, dont particularly care about making money on them...simply a matter of a PC I plan to hold onto. Will probably end up over paying for a slabbed Solar 10 as well!
  13. Funny you start this thread, I've begun to revisit my pre-Unity Valiant obsession by buying the harder to find books that I was never able to get my hands on as a kid. Recently I've wondered if we'd ever see a resurgence in interest in those early rare books. The first printing of Solar 10 is still not cheap in a 9.8 though!
  14. Excuse what may be a silly, but related question (I have not sent a book in for signature before), how is one expected to send in with a window bag when CGC appears to be on back order? Custom, or can someone point me to another place that sells them....I havent seen much when googling.
  15. Sooooo. Initially received the needed to re-tier email January 6th and I approved that day. Based on some comments in here I emailed them yesterday saying hey...whats going on? This submission has been stuck in G/QC for two weeks now. Immediate reply was there appears to be a hold on your account, I am CCing accounting. Accouinting emails me about an hour later saying accounting is clearing this...shipping should be sending at any time now. Just logged on and it's FINALLY in shipping status for Monday. So, my question is...after approving the upgraded tier did someone not take off the freaking account hold and how much longer would have gone by had I not reached out to them yesterday?? GAHHHHHH! Finally the end though...
  16. Lol at this point i'm just like eh whatever...have a lesser order at CBCS since the beginning of August, so they aren't any better on their times.
  17. This is what I started doing and the first one was an extremely quick turnaround. Next two fast tracks have been stuck in G/E/I for about a month now. I'm back to regular slo mo submissions since some of the books im sending really wouldnt be worth spending the extra money on and I'm not in a massive rush. When they finally opened the one stuck in Grading/QC they initially emailed to tell me that I had undervalued it and pushed it up to the standard tier. Customer service rep told me that it wouldnt re-set the clock, but i am starting to think they did because two weeks on and here we are.
  18. I realize it's been discussed quite a bit in this thread, but it amazes me how many submissions somehow end up stuck in G/E/I or G/QC for weeks on end.
  19. I just submitted 15 or so books on Friday under the slow as molasses tier, pretty much assuming I wont be seeing those again for another year.
  20. Modern slow delivered second week of July, opened August 31st...been stuck in Grading/QC for two weeks.
