How much for shipping?

How much is *too* much for shipping a couple of CGC comics?

Click

I thought about bidding on this. It's a relist that closed last night with no bids for the same price.

Then I saw the shipping.

Since I live in the US, I guess it would cost $40 to ship it here?

It's a good thing I looked.

Oh, and that $20 USD shipping within Canada is a real deal? 893whatthe.gif

Joe, you're from up yonder...

How much does it cost to ship 2 CGC books within Canada?

Then, how much for 2 CGC books from Canada to the US?

Well, Greggy mailed me 4 books (2 CGC and 2 Raw) all the way from the West Coast (most expensive) and the box read $9.99 CAD, or about $7.00 USD.

I'm just estimating here, but I did a quite quote from my place to Florida, using the same dimensions and around the same weight, and insured XPress Post USA came to $16.85 or just under $12 USD. That handles up to 2 lbs, and at 3 lbs, it went to $18 CAD or around $12.50 USD. 4 lbs, $19.50 CAD or...

I really am starting to hate shipping overcharges.

I just won an item an hour ago and this is the charge:

Item Price: $26.00

Shipping & Handling: $4.75

Additional Shipping: $0.00

Insurance: $3.25

-------------

Total: $34.00

$3.25 to insure a $26.00 item????893censored-thumb.gif

I'd call him out on that insurance charge.

There is no way to justify that and you could probably report him to eBay for it. 893naughty-thumb.gif

On another note, I may only ship to US destinations in the future. The Canada Post domestic rates are getting even whackier, especially since I haven't sold any EBay-stuff for a bit, and a lot longer than that to a Canuck. It seems that every year, Canadian parcel shipping costs grow exponentially.

I don't know what this country is coming to.... 893naughty-thumb.gif
