Jokerman's Wizard World Weekend!

Hey Gang--

I had an awesome weekend in Rosemont, picking up some cool books and

attending my first Forum Dinner. It was great meeting so many guys with so

much knowledge and enthusiasm for collecting! Donut, Foolkiller, Moondog,

Griz, FourthWorld, ciorac, Ze-Man and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few more.

Had a blast at the dinner as I somehow found myself sitting at Steve Borock's table! Geez....

The weekend's kind of a blur, lots of walking and pawing through boxes and there's

already a bunch of good reports up, so I thought I'd highlight the books I brought home.

At the start of the con I needed 7 books to finish my ASM run from 1 - present.

I ended up picking up five of the seven this weekend from John Hauser, Steve Ritter and

Heroes and Dragons and some other guy who I didn't know. Here they are!

Those were my main focus, but I also keep an eye out for books by Neal Adams.

I picked up several Tomahawks but only scanned one.

I also got a few bronze X-Men, so that run is almost complete...

And I always seem to find myself picking up odd books if the cover appeals to me..

And now that I'm almost done with my Spidey run I need to start thinking about what to go after next...

Pity me boys because the '50's and '40's are calling me!!

It was the first time I've spent the entire weekend at a con and thouigh my legs hurt

and my feet are sore from walking, I had a great time!

And here's a reward for getting all the way to the bottom of my report....

Congrats on filling some major gaps in your collection.

John Hauser's a great guy to deal with.

Thanks to him I got this major part of my ASM 201-300 Run

Thanks guys--

I still need Spidey #1 (gotta save up for that) and #14 (though I'm close to getting

one of those - A cool story I'll tell when the times right).

The Crime Does Not Pay is one of my favorite covers from that series. Moondog

had this copy for cheap so I had to grab it!

And I always keep my eyes open for Rex books I'm a big Gil Kane fan and he drew

most of the issues. It's just hard to fathom a time when a comic about a dog could

be published and last 46 issues!

(:
