If you add it up this poll will end the first week of October. lol

Think about this: we've rated the first Luke Cage and the first Defenders as two of the top 20 books of the Bronze Age. Wow. I didn't realize the BA was that bad.

I voted Luke Cage, for what it's worth.

Marvel BA is over rated.

Most of the good stuff was simply taking the SA ideas to the next level.

X-Men, ASM, etc...

The few brand new ideas were Conan, Swampy, and toss in Wolverine as the best (but not the first) "Hero with a bad Attitude".

Also "new" were heroes that got there "powers" from Satan.

Satan sucks so anyone that gets their powers from him sucks.

Satanism in film and literature was very "in" in the early '70s, so comics had to jump on the bandwagon. Ghost Rider was a combination of that trend and Evel Knievel, who was at his peak back then.

Yes, the title was a bit weak and very opportunist....still got made into a film though. :insane:

And at the end of the day that`s the only thing that counts! :baiting:

lol Damn right. And let's not forget how many new comic collectors are brought into the fold due to such cinematic masterpieces. :insane: :insane:

o.k. for all those that are voting for

Hero For Hire 1 (First Luke Cage)

I have a question for you...

Have you ever read any of the title????

I didn't have much respect for old Luke Cage until I did.

I bought the essentials vol. # 1 for Hero For Hire

and I must say that is one badassed dude.

Not only is every comic packed with the most

fistcuff violence of the day, but in issue # 9

he beats Dr. Doom single handedly!!!!!

:o :O :o :O :o

I was just curious to see who read these

because it is hard for me to see this many votes this early

for him. Also isn't he the first Africian American Marvel hero?
