Flipping? Not flipping?

Anyone understand this?

This auction just ended on Ebay:

Avengers #49 on Ebay

But the same book is listed on comiclink as "Sale Pending":

Avengers #49 on CL

------------

Same seller has an Avengers #45 up on Ebay:

Avengers #45 on Ebay

And it's also listed on Comiclink as "Sale Pending":

Avengers #45 on CL

------------

It looks like the Ebay seller bought these on CL and is flipping them on Ebay. But if the sales are still "pending" on CL, then they wouldn't have the books in their possession yet, so how are they going to ship 'em to the winning Ebay bidder?

Am I missing something here?

Yeah, but the Avengers #45 was just listed on CL five weeks ago.

(The #49 was listed over a year ago.)

You can get your books within 5 weeks.

is this a way of avoiding trouble if someone offers your ask on c-link while you have the ebay auction pending? (does c-link have rules against declining an offer at your asking price?) basically putting the c-link listing on hold while the auction is going on. if the auction isn't a success, just return to your c-link listing?

Some books stay as "Sales Pending" for years. :makepoint:

Unless a buyer pays over a long period of time (a time payment purchase), sales pending items are generally removed from ComicLink approximately three months from the date of sale or earlier. The date next to a sales pending item is the date the item was listed on ComicLink, not the sale date.
