The new Boston Comic Con returns October 21, 2007. Featured guest artist is the legendary Jim Steranko!

 

Steranko was inducted into the Comic Book Hall of Fame in 2006 and Wizard Magazine has named him one of the top five most influential comic book artists of all time.

There's been so much good buzz about this show, I'm considering scheduling some business around the same time -- one of the associates in the firm also lives right near the Backbay events center -- so this is very tempting to attend.

The Inaugural Show last March was a breath of fresh air.

 

Old School to the Max. More comics, no porno stars. Family friendly.

 

I highly recommend it.

If you plan on sending books to the con to be signed, be aware that Steranko generally only signs personalized authographs (i.e. To Brian: Steranko). I don't know if he will sign for a witness without the fan being present.

Apparently you have never been to a Boston Comic Book Convention before.

 

You are describing to a T the Comic Book Convention that has been held in the same Boston location since 1975 from Don Phelps to Will Murray to Great Eastern to Primate Promotions.
