The recent Human Fly MEGO post got me thinking......

 

Personally, I had lots of DC Superhero MEGO as a kid, and don't collect it now, but sort of wish I did. The coolest pieces I had as a kid were the Batman Van and the Joker van.

 

I always wanted the Wayne Foundation but my parents cheaped out on me I guess. :jokealert:

I had tons of megos - Planet of the apes, star trek, spidey, batman, joker, robin, hulk, Captain america, tarzan, cavemen with two awesome giant dinosaurs, aquaman & the shark, the justice league headquarters, batmobile, I think I had some sort of hulk cave too. man oh man...so much greta stuff. I don't have any now becuse I stopped collecting things that take up display space since I move around so much. When settled, I wouldn't mind a few again.

I had a kid neighbor that owned an 8mm camera

and we would destroy anything and everyting on camera.

 

We were really piros, taking the heads of megos and injecting

them with gasoline and blowing up the whole doll.

 

I once set his whole yard ablaze because I wanted the effect of

the shogun warrior version of Godzilla to really look like it was

breathing fire.

:o I never did that stuff to animals!!!! :angel: But what i did say sounded like the start of a bad horror movie! Maybe i sould seek mental help? No one here set the toys on fire??? I always thought that was normal. :devil:

 

I remember pulling all the heads off all the toys and setting them on fire... I wish i would have kept them and not destroyed them.

 

I'd feel worse about all the dogs and cats. :o

One of my favorite toys was the Hulk Copter made by Empire. They also made Vans both of which fit the larger Mego dolls.

 

I got outbid on the Hulk van, but did pick up a MIB Hulk Copter on eBay awhile back.

I had the Planet of the APes treehouse and some assorted figures. Always fun to make the Star Trek crew crossover with the POTA and a few assorted others.

 

I bought a nice collection of the stuff in the 90's and another one around 2000 but alas I sold it. They were some cool toys. I love the Green Arrow and Arrow car
