Looking forwad to this show. My wife just had a baby on Sept. 26th and this will probably be my 1st time I will be able to get out of the house besides work. Have some stuff for Romita and Adams to sign and as always to get some sketches done.

Do you guys have all the issues resolved for the certified sketches? If so, I have a request for this con. Or, can I just make a request for a "raw" sketch?

As far as I know a price point has been determined for the certified sketch service yet. Otherwise I would say that if a customer wants to make the arrangements with an artist AT THE SHOW we'll go over and pick it up with them from the artist before we do the paperwork

 

Personally, while autographs are not a problem, I am uneasy with the idea of taking sketch requests in advance for this service (or for uncertified sketches as well) for people who are not attending the show as there are too many unknowns such as cost of sketch, will the artist do it/are they even sketching, and what if the customer doesn't care for the sketch. Plus, if I were to line up for a sketch why wouldn't I just get one for myself instead? This is usually why I haven't done this in the past with "raw" sketches for even close friends.

 

That being said, other Witnesses might be okay with fulfilling these types of requests. I don't know of many Witnesses who are going to the National. I know newkingintown will be going... that's about it.
