It's a pic of NHL player Darryl Sydor. I'm not a fan of his, just amused by the image b/c I cannot think of another player in the history of the game that has gotten the krap kicked out of him more than this poor guy. Although he's been in some willing fights during his career, he's not a figher per say, he's just had the crazy misfortune of being on the ice at the wrong time, several times. I cannot count the number of times there's been a huge fracas and this poor guy always ends up paired off with some legitimate heavyweight fighter and he's just covering up and getting the tar beaten out of him. He's like the Charlie Brown of the NHL. Poor schlub.

There was a guy on the BlackHawks many years ago. I think his name was Eddy Olcheck. Dont quote me but I think that was his name. He had a bad habit of starting fights and letting the other team use his face as a punching bag. He just may give this guy a run for his money for times beat up! The guy just didnt learn.

Yeah, Eddie Olczyk. I believe he calls the games for the Blackhawks these days. He didn't exactly have a great coaching career either. Pretty much got the krap kicked out of him on that front as well.

I was going to edit my post but too late. I started thinking about this, and it was Keith Magnuson I was thinking about. I dont think he had a tooth left in his mouth. Sorry for the dump on Olczyk, but hi did get his azz kicked a couple times.

Greatest poster of the 70's.

I never got the FF Poster thing. Overall skinny.as it was shot. Weird looking hair. Too toothy smile. Now this is NOT to denigrate FF as a person - just as how she was portrayed. The poster itself I always found pretty much unappealing.

No freakin' way!! This poster has always been cool. I remember seeing in Shawshank redemption ...I though it was really kool how they made it match a time period, it's iconic.. it's like a poster of madonna in the 80s. The kool madonna, not the one that came out in sliver, that was just plain gross...

But anyways, the poster is kinda sexy, not Rachel Welch outta this world in it's day sexy but, it is sexy...

You mean Raquel Welch. Anyway - I was 26 years old when that poster came out in 1976. So please allow me my own aesthetic judgement. And aesthically, this was, overall, an unappealing image to me.

I am not sure what you mean by "how they made it match a time period,". The poster WAS in its time period: 1976. That was pretty much what 1976 was like (kind of dissapointing). Yes, I agree it is "iconic" for 1976 but to me, having lived well through, 1976 kind of lacked. The fact that CHARLIE'S ANGELS was so popular in those days pretty much attests to that.

Well,.. perhaps it's just a matter of taste and maybe even mood. Sometimes you feel Keira Knightly-ish, while others, you're more into the Salma Hayek mood but, that particular poster, is kindof' attractive,..it has what the french artists would call...a ..uuhmm,.. certain... appelle' con le skinnyle witno bresteses..

But, yeah , I get you, you just weren't buying it in your day..it kinda like Paris Hilton nowadays... :baiting:

No baiting needed. I like the Paris Hilton analogy. But also keep in mind I come from Southern Italian and Sicilian stock. We like our women healthy!
