Help Please: Best way to pack/ship art

6 posts in this topic

Masonite is the way to go...but if you are on a budget...use the boxes that UPS have at their stores...here's a run down (oh and make sure your art is bagged & sealed...in case your ship it to an area that is experiencing bad weather...i.e. RAIN!!!):

STEP #1 – two fedex or ups express boxes.

STEP #2 – break/split the seam of the box.

STEP #3 – split the seam all the way.

STEP #4 – open box.

STEP #5 – turn box inside out – so the brown side is now on the outside.

STEP #6 – slip sheet the art between a couple sheets of 11”x17” paper...insert artwork in the center of the flat boards...use little pieces of tape the make sure the art doesn’t move in the flat boards. Now seal the flat board on all ends with 2 inch tape.

STEP #7 – place taped board into second flat board (opened as the first one).

STEP #8 – seal the second flat board securely..
