Got an interesting Question about something that's disappeared in comics

Thought balloons, voice overs, anything internalized within the character is bad, bad, bad hack writing. It's just a way for a weak writer who can't express what's happening in his/her story properly to provide the reader the necessary details to put everything together.

 

Okay, in general I'd agree with you ... but there significant exceptions. Just to name one: Blade Runner. Have you seen the "director's cut" without the Harrison Ford voiceover? I for one much prefer the original, *with* the voiceover. They're like two different movies, with the original being far superior.
