Gorey Three Detectives

Hi everyone,

 

Been buying a couple of things lately, and here's the first that came in (today). My wife and I are fans of the illustrator Edward Gorey, who drew very intricate Edwardian style etching-style illustrations of odd and macabre scenes. If you've ever seen the opening credits to Mystery!, Gorey did all of those illustrations.

 

This piece is an original illustration with the Three Detectives (also featured on that introductory scent to Mystery!), with their classic flashlights, investigating a couple drinking at a table, with a dead body at their feet!

 

Classic!

 

Hope you enjoy it as much as we do. These are EXTREMELY rare, especially given the macabre undertone.
