Hurry!

Three years ago when I had my problem I was a few days late and they didn't cover my claim.

I think I had to file between day 31 and day 60 after the auction ended.

I was 5 days late. tonofbricks.gif

The rules might have changed in three years.

It's still the same time period.

I still have 3 days before I can file it with eBay.

You have to file fraud through Paypal BEFORE 30 days are up.

If you try on the 31st day, they won't let you file the claim.

I got the letter from Paypal on the final judgement today...

Our investigation has determined that the seller is at fault, but we were

unable to recover any funds from the seller's account. As stated in the

PayPal User Agreement, Buyer Complaint funds recovery cannot be guaranteed.

If this transaction took place on an auction site, we encourage you to

contact the auction site and see if they offer insurance coverage.

We appreciate your business, and regret this experience.

So basically, it looks like I'm SOL.

I guess I can still get a little of it back from eBay.

Has anyone been successful with an eBay refund before?

Yes.. I got my $175. I sent them all the details and I got my check. Sounds like it will be a snap since Paypal and Ebay are one and the same and Paypal has ruled in your favor. Get the application out asap.

I negged this seller as she (Jacqueline Acerenza) only mailed my book after I wrote her 4 separate emails asking each time if she mailed my book because it's been umpteen days. First two times she told me it had been shipped, third time admitted it was overlooked but shipped "today". 10 days later I email, no response to that email but book then comes 3 days later in a Priority envelope with the envelope bent. This VG "Others might grade the book a little higher" book was actually only G, so the big bend in it from shipping didn't affect it much. Yes, I paid for insurance and she did not insure (this always ticks me off, along with shipping in envelopes and shipping media when they say and you pay priority).

My impression is that this seller is either a kid or just a spaceshot, certainly not a good or calculating crook . She seems to put a lot of time into her About Me, her html, her Batman quotes, but has no time to get organized as a seller (or a buyer, it seems). Chances are if you get her # and call her maybe she'll pull out of her current funk and ship you the book. I did ultimately get mine. Good luck.
