EC OA

7 posts in this topic

posted this in Comics General first but was told if I put this here it would take only seconds for my question to be answered...

Won this on ebay last week.

All I know is the artist is Joe Orlando and it's supposedly from an EC comic. Which one I have no idea... According to seller "probably Crime Suspenstories or Shock Suspenstories".

Uhh, one more thing:

There's a story named "My Brother's Keeper" in issue 16 and it's by George Evans.

At least wkipedia says so...

Does that mean it's not a Joe Orlando page after all?

Dumb questions, I know. But I'm not much of an OA guy.... (shrug)

Story is entitled "My Brother's Keeper" and if memory serves, it was published in Shock Suspenstories # 11

One hour, 18 minutes from post to ID. That's a little slow for this section of the boards....

(Not that I knew the answer. :sorry:)

Hi Rudi.

Congrats on your EC OA acquisition :applause:

Your artwork is indeed penned by JOE ORLANDO.

It is page 5 of a 6 page story entitled 'TILL DEATH DO WE PART' , scripted by AL FELDSTEIN.

Third story in the book.

Orlando did both pencil & inks and obviously Marie Severin did the Colours.

The story comes from HAUNT OF FEAR # 12 from Mar/April 1952.

Here is the cover to that particular issue.

Hope this helps.

Tom
