Thanks!

Here's another easy one.

What do the comic-book characters:

Tarzan, Flash Gordon, Buck Rogers and Thun'da

have in common?

All were made into movies starring Buster Crabbe?

^^

I knew some one would know this. Yes, good ol' Buster Crabbe acted in serials featuring each of the above characters. The Frazetta guess, uncannily, was also pretty good but I don't recall any Frazetta Flash Gordon or does it exist?

BZ, it's your turn now. :applause:

As an unneccessary follow-up, here's Buster first as Flash Gordon at the hand of the Hawkmen and then as Flash Gordon with his big ray-gun :o

Well, It's closing time at the local dog park, and they've put me up to the task of returning these mutts to their rightful homes. Can you help me identify them (all 5) and find the issue cover that they belong to, so they won't be lonely? I'm sure their owners must miss them greatly.

How about a hint who that dog is in the bottom right corner?

He doesn't look familiar to me. (shrug)

Alright, it's a bit sneaky, since he is technically a prototype (although a key issue cover appearance to fans of the series), take a look at that collar... he sure ain't no poor kids mutt. And his name and coat has since changed.

Are you looking for title/issue or just the dogs' names?

Jack

PS

Never mind! I found the answer to my question in the instructions and meanwhile BZ beat me to the punch. I had found Buck!

side note:

buck was dollar the dog's prototype. This issue is listed as a buck (dollar the dog prototype) cover in overstreet.

Classic Comics 12

^^

WOO-HOO!

Rip Van Winkle and the Headless Horseman, in case the pumpkin didn't clue everyone in.

Not enough time to write a great question. Let's try a fair-to-middlin' one.

Thom McAn used his super-powered shoes to foil all sorts of criminals and nefarious schemes in the comic books. What were those shoes called?

Bazooka-Shoes!

Fastest answer yet! Glad I checked before logging out for the night.

I feared that it was too easy, but they can't all be masterpieces.

I thought that people would get a kick out of this Iceman prototype, almost 20 years predating X-Men!
