Please give me your opinion on the grade of this "Exciting" book

This book is undoubtedly high grade, the question is how high grade? NM, NM+, or NM/M?

I wish I had one to provide. It is Metro's book - the Mile High copy, and they only have the front scan posted on their site.

Yes it does, but does the front look like a 9.8? Without seeing the back, I am more in the 9.6 range (top left corner).

Then I would safely call it a 9.0/9.2

Boy that's a beauty (in more ways than one). The lower right corner looks soft too, so I'd be skeptical of 9.8.

Probably a safe tip. When talking about that kind of $, I don't see why it can't just be submitted to CGC. That way, I know what I am buying. Won't happen though...

Seiously think about this; if the book truly was a 9.8, why the hell would Metro NOT send it in to be graded? Let's forget the fact that it is a MH book that would command multiples easily, but a 9.8 !

Not knowing golden age bumps, I'd say 9.2 maybe a 9.4, but I can't see 9.8.

Thanks for all of your comments. I think it is pretty much agreed that the book is not a 9.8. Still a nice book though. Wish they would CGC it. I would likely grab it if came back a 9.4 from CGC with a reduced price.

I don't see that as a 9.8. Agree with the 9.2 range for the front cover.
