X-Men #58 CGC 8.5 charity auction in the Sales forum.

Selegue , the winner of the Flee/MCMiles Grails Game earlier today, has generously decided to auction off the prizes and donate the proceeds to charity.

 

These are the charities selected by Selegue, and the auction winner may choose which of the five to donate to.

 

Alzheimer's Association

American Cancer Society

Doctors Without Borders

Habitat for Humanity

The Nature Conservancy

 

In case you missed the Grails Game, here are the two books to be auctioned off.

Auction rules and info:

 

1. The auctions will be posted in the Sales forum tomorrow (1/4/08) and begin at Noon Eastern Time and end at 10:00 PM Sunday.

2. The opening bid will be $1

3. The minimum bid is $1

4. Even dollar amounts only

5. Bids must be placed in the thread for the book you are bidding on.

6. The high bid must stand for ten minutes before being declared the winner. For example, if a bid comes in at 9:59 the auction does not end till 10:09 and so forth.

 

Shipping to the winner is free.

Payments can be made to seleque and your money will be donated to the charity of your choice from the list. If you want to make the donation yourself you will need to provide proof of afterward to claim your book.

 

I want to mention that this all stems from the generosity of Grails. The Grails Games are a blast. I also have to give credit to Flee_Marquette for all of the effort he put in to our Grails Game and selegue for playing the game for the enjoyment and continuing the generosity by offering his prize to charity.

So, lets see some strong bidding going on for these folks.

Grails is very generous with the games and I've only enjoyed them after the fact but it's impressive how many people come up with amazing answers to obscure questions/situations!

If anyone's curious, we split the proceeds evenly, so the tally was $85 each to Doctors Without Borders and Habitat for Humanity. Conveniently, they both accept donations on-line.
