I think i read, a few times ago, a post about major comics appearing in this TV show from the 80's.

 

 

I just watched the episode and was able to extract the interesting part.

There was an episode of "Still The Beaver" (the 80s "Leave It To Beaver" spinoff) with an FF1. Beaver's kids find a bunch of comics and an FF1 is in the mix. Eddie Haskell's son recognizes the book and tries to rip them off. One kid wants to sell the book and the other doesn't. They start fighting, pulling on the stack of comics, and Eddie's kid freaks out, tipping his hand. Ultimately a dealers shows up and offers them some decent cash but the kids decide to keep the book and put it in a safety deposit box.

Right mouse click on the link and save the .mpg file on your local disk.

Then use something like Media player classic.

If it still doesn't work, that's a problem with the codec.

That's my favorite AS episode.

 

Back in the late 60's on an episode of DRAGNET there was an episode where a domestic dispute arose from the man's wife throwing his copy of Superman #1 into the fireplace. I forget if he said the book was worth $1000 or $5000.
