These books are from the very first series, starting in 1939 and they are not common.

 

Some great low grade, wonderful Goldenage books in this thread. I just bought another stack of lovely old books, and I'm liberating a few of the ones I had before.

Blue Beetle #1, the cover is nice, it's complete, pages are very readable, there tape on most of the pages. Cover is detached. Pages are fragile, but not terrible. Grade is Fair+, 1.5 :news:SOLD !

Blue Beetle #2, this one is a work of art...the original owner was an amateur artist and I guess he had fun fixing this one. The top right is replaced by an original artistic piece. The pages on this book are nicer, cover is detached, centerfold is detached, the book itself is very solid. Grade is Fair because of the piece missing, Guide in 2.0 is $159.00 bin is $75.00 :news:SOLD !

Blue Beetle #15, Kubert art, this is a great cover. There is some archival tape on the inside of the cover. Cover is detached at one staple. Grade is 2.5, Guide is $66.25, Bin is $50.00 :news:SOLD !

Blue Beetle # 22, 1943, Foxing, but otherwise, it's OK, Coverf is detached from single staple. Grade is 2.5 (because of the detached staple. Bin is $45, a very decent low grade copy.

How about this, it IS the Blue Beetle....Mystery Men #20, Fox, nice solid cover, detached from book, Really nice pages, I think; it's still a solic 3.0 even with the detached cover. $90.00

OK, last one:) for tonight...Mystery Men #13, first Lynx and sidekick Blackie, cover is detached, some tape, some artistic enhancement on the letters, decent pages. Lower grade, but solid, even with the tape. 70.00
