I tend to be in favor of a cash bar. I don't see why non-drinkers need to pay for us lushes - error - imbibers. I just hope they have cold sake there!

A round is ok I guess but I'd rather you buy me a drink.

Well Sherry from Gordon Biersch just called me as I had called earlier in the week for a menu. She and I agreed to hold the large room over-looking the SF Bay for February 23rd at 8pm. :banana: This room can hold up to 50 people comfortably. She said that if we have less it is not a problem, as we only pay for the amount of people we have. As long as she knows about 5 days ahead of time how many people we will have, then we are okay. She is also going to e-mail a new menu on Monday as they are in the process of changing it. BTW cash bar is fine too. I just wanted to fill everyone in. :)

doh! That was so bad..it's funny!

 

Sounds like quite the shindig, but I wonder how you will nurse a shot of Sake over the course of the evening, I can see how you made a beer last that long.. but the sake glass.. it's so tiny.

Such is the beauty and truth of sake. For a sake is a bottle. Now in this case probably a 175ml or so bottle. But many little cups worth pour forth.

Well, if Bedrock's attending, I'd better be there, if only to ensure that it's a bipartisan gathering... a "multidenominational congregation," if you will... ;)

 

My friend Richard Wilson will also attend - let me know where to send a check and in what amount.
