Only thing on this one that stands out is the loss of some blue on the FC. Can't say if it is wear or just poor inking.

The "63" does look like minor scuffing - does not appear to be color loss...

 

Anyway, this comic DOES have sharp corners, has a LOT of great qualities

 

Gotta go with VF+ 8.5 for now.

My guess is the color loss in various parts of the covers is production related. So I think 9.2 is a safe bet.

The old Charltons are due a price bump upward. Yours is a very nice copy easy 9.0

I'd even go 9.4 - One NCB spine bend. Period. Loss of deep blue ink - not a factor.

Charlton's are printed very poorly and the defects could easily be a production flaw. If you have a good magnifying glass you should be able to verify one way or the other.
