It is the first copy to grade higher than 9.4 I had these three pegged at 9.4/9.6 so I was happy with these. These Dynabrites are hard to find in high-grade. Loki Posted September 23, 2008 Share Posted September 23, 2008 No scans yet, as these are just freshly graded... ASM #154 - 9.2 OWW - I'd had this pegged as a 9.4. ASM #177 - 9.4 W - I figured this had a shot at 9.6, but it makes me glad I hedged my bets and bought the Winnipeg copy from cgcworld. ASM #179 - 9.0 W - A real disappointment here. There was a manufacturing defect with the top staple slightly pulling through the cover. No color break or spine stess, so I was optimistic at a 9.4. ASM #180 - 9.6 OWW - I was right on the money with the grade, but was expecting White pages. Giant Sized Spider-man #3 - 9.6 OWW - Picked it up as a raw 9.2 here on the boards and that was my grade too... Just goes to show how tricky those square bound covers can be sometimes. Spectacular Spider-man #7, #9, #10, #13 - All 9.8 W! All four of these were zillaf4 "NM-" copies. I was dead-on with my assessment of the #7, #9, and #10. But I was certain the #13 was going to grade even higher. :shrug: Guess it's time to change my signature wanted list since I picked up a cheap $5 NM- #2 from zilla this past weekend. Marvel Spotlight #28 - 9.2 W - I must have been pretty strict when I looked at this one as I had it at 8.5 OW. A pleasant surprise to say the least. I rescued almost a full run of MKs from the $1 bin nearly 20 years back and this was the worst of the bunch. I guess I'll have to submit the rest!
