Come See How Connecticut Invented The Comic Book

This looks like an interesting exhibit, starts on Sunday and runs up to April 25, 2004.

Back in the late 80's I worked with a guy who grew up here in CT, in the town of Meriden. I mentioned to him that Marvel comics where printed in Meriden back in the 60's. He told me his mother worked at the print shop and used to bring them comics from work!

Well, that's it - CGC's outta business!! It was a fun ride, but with Gary Sohmers in da house, who needs CGC ? hehe

 

Can you just imagine some of the sorry stuff this appraiser is going to have to look at ? "I hate ta break it to you lady, but the Pink Panther mini-comic from 1976 was printed in, like, quantity 12 million or so, and it's hard to find buyers..."
