Which book would you choose?

69 posts in this topic

I torn between 2 books. They both have the same CGC grade and I'm just curious as to what others would choose.

1) A book with white pages but has some marvel chipping on the front cover.

or

2) A book with Off White to White pages with minimal to no chipping on the front cover.

I'm not a PQ freak but after seeing these two side by side the white looks so much cleaner .

Thoughts?

I would choose minimal damage over PQ--with CGC books you cant see the pages anyway.

Are they both the same price? that might have some bearing

The book with white pages is actually about $100 more.

What percentage difference is that?

Are we talking $9900 vs $10,000

or $100 vs $200 ?

Are both books new labels?

Yes both are new blue labels.

Pass on both & find an old label copy in the same grade. ;)

Doesnt always work that way ;)

Worth a try. Old label PQ jumps from ow/w to white....and if the book hasn't suffered from SCS.....there's always the possibility of a grade BUMP . :wishluck:
