$29.99, but Amazon has it for $19.99. There also isn't a built in option to print any of the pages so a work around for that would need to be found in order for me to be on board with this idea.

What do you guys think?

The software takes up minimal hard disk space, as it's basically the djvu browser plug-in that's being installed. Everything is run from a web browser with the initial opening pages being nothing more than html and thumbnails. When the user selects a particular issue, the djvu plug-in loads and the issue contents are displayed.

Cover and individual pages are thumbnailed along the left-hand column and the current page being displayed occupies the rest of the browser window. There are zoom features and image rotation controls as well as page navigation controls along the top edge.

There is a print control that will print to any installed printer. Additionally, there are separation controls, three buttons that will display either, key (black) only, colors only, or both.

Technical notes:

Image extraction is both possible and easy. The djvu solo 3.1 package would need to be downloaded and installed to facilitate this. For those who may not know, djvu is very much like Adobe pdf. All images, text and navigation are rolled together in a proprietary file format.

Djvu solo ( www.planetdjvu.com ) allows the user to open a djvu file and export either the entire contents (pages) or an individual page to a common graphics file type. Again, the user can select key only, color only or color and key prior to export. Files are organized in an intuitive manner on the cd so finding a specific issue is not a problem.

Hope this helps
