This otherwise NM book is missing a staple?

I have had several modern books in recent years that have been missing one staple. No holes or even indentations that a staple had ever been attempted. If I had a vintage book like this in high grade, I would probably still try to have it slabbed. It could come back Blue label, but with a note under the title, as opposed to a qualified label.

 

I've seen that for other production errors.
