What is the best way to tackle modern Hulk?

36 posts in this topic

Planet Hulk is much better than Future Imperfect but both are worth having.

I haven't read Planet Hulk but it had better be one of the best Hulk stories, EVER, to make your statement true...

I've started to get into it, and I say it has a very good start.

I haven't heard anyone else ask this question this so I'll ask it...

Does this remind anyone of stories out of Heavy Metal Magazine???

I really like HevMetal and was wondering what others thought?

To me this story seems right out of HevMetal magazine minus only the

nudity and heavy sexuality.

There was a story that would take place in mag some times in the

mag (in the late 80 –early 90's) called "Druuna" that reminds me a lot of the illustration style

of the characters in it and the story really has an HevMetal feel to it as well...

I just didn't know if other people thought this as well...

I'm a huge Druuna fan and don't really see the connection. Might be there, but I just don't see it.

The illustration style more than anything

The futuristic dust bowl/decaying look.

But now that I read more than the first few books

in the TPB it starts to get away from that...

Yah...it reminded me of the last story of the movie. Taarna the Defender and the planet it was set on.

Unrelated...anybody else find the Brood doing puppet stories of the exploits of Green Scar amusing?

Always loved the Brood.

It's fun to see them used in a different fashion than the typical X-book.

Pat

I agree, it was pretty refreshing to see them pull some known characters into this story line.

I especially liked the surfer slave in the arena.

nice choice.
