Comics4kids.org - getting reciepts?

7 posts in this topic

I considered donating to them but didn't for several reasons, primarily, my search of IRS publication 78 revealed no such organization registered as a non profit. Although I admit, my search may have been conducted after they lost their non profit status. I would verify with a tax specialist the practice of writing off any donations to them.

I read in a thread a while ago that their president frequents these boards, so maybe he could shed some light.

Are you still accepting donations? If so please PM me with instructions.

I have some Batman comics that I am giving away just pay for shipping over in the seller forum to get rid of them. They are kid appropriate but more for 10 and over I would say. There is no-one that would take them and the kids in the neighborhood are too young for them. There are not that many but I don't want to throw them out.
