Please give your opinion based upon graders notes

CGC graded a modern book a 9.4 and it had a "crunch" much greater than that one. It went from bottom staple to 2" from spine at the bottom. Front and back cover.

 

The book did not have this defect before I sent it to CGC. I insisted the book must have been damaged after grading, because no way is that kind of defect gets a 9.4 grade. CGC insisted there was no way the book could get damaged and stood by the grade of 9.4 for that large "crunch".

 

Given that, this book is easily a 7.5, if that is their standard.

What does the "A" stand for I got some GGA books with a similar "A" in pencil.

 

Similar to an arrival date but only "A"....standing for "arrival"

 

Hmm, I missed the "A" when I first checked out the scan...must've been distracted by the "T"s... lol
