I've been giving MIller the benefit of the doubt, but......uh......

 

The Spirit never talked like that. And while there was the occassional rooftop scene, he didn't run and jump across 'em like Batman.......

 

I'm beginnng to have my doubts now.

 

Absolutely agree with this. Miller seems to have completely missed the tone of The Spirit with the black suit and rooftop jumping. It fits for Batman, but not The Spirit.

It's common for a teaser trailer to use the music from an older film. Just means the score hasn't been completed yet.

That was my first reaction. I only hope they just glommed it for the advance trailer and won't use it in the film.

Indeed. it is feeling like "Dark Spirit". I know Spirit best from the daily newspaper sections. Had a slew of them back in the day. Yes there was some dark but there was also humor and a bit of tongue in cheek - not unlike the better Plastic Man stories. This just feels dark and a bit dirty.
