The following were eliminated in round 2, in order of sukiness (the last 2 were tied for 10th...so they both go!):

Hulk

Supergirl :sumo:

Superman III

Spawn

Batman Forever

Swamp Thing :sumo:

Daredevil

Teen-Age Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990)

Punisher (2004)

Spider-Man 3

Ghost Rider

No love for Supergirl.

Both Punisher movies quickly ejected.

Hulk get smashed.

Another Batman and Superman movie bite the dust.

Spidey takes a hit. Deservedly so.

Big budget piles of krap Daredevil and Ghost Rider take a hike.

31 Remaining. This round the 10 worst movies will be removed, just to keep things moving quickly.

VOTE FOR YOUR 5 WORST

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

I can't believe this has lasted that long...

I rather watch grass grow.

:P

I agree. There were 2 comic movies that were so bad I had to turn them off midway thru, League and Ghost Rider.

Pretty sure League is outta here.

one of the things that is sad is that American Splendor

is even in this contest.

I thought it was a solid movie but was more of a film about

real life drama/comedy than the other Sci Fi spandex types.

I agree with rottentomatoes critics that this is a 90 percent and up flick

that is worth watching atleast once.

Well, that was intentional. I tried to include movies based on comic books, and not just limit it to Super-Hero movies.

Ghost World, Road to Perdition, Sin City, 300.....none of these are super-hero movies but their source material was definitely the comic book.

Not surprisingly, these are some of the better movies on the list, IMO.

its getting harder for me already since so many of these films are tied in the middle as "eh" so its hard to seriously compare them against each other.. Im glad its 5 at a time which makes it a bit easier.

I think the POS Fantastic Four movies are splitting the vote - no way either one should live another round.

And Blade Trinity. doh!

Agreed, along with Superman Returns. Not seen the League movie.

I thought American Splendor and Ghost World were excellent films that did reasonable justice to their source material and at least credited their audience with having some intelligence, not to mention being free of the usual gauche genre constraints. In my opinion, they should be in the top 5 comic-related movies.

I actually thought both of those were pretty good, along with the Batman movie everyone else seems to hate. Not top 10 material, but pretty good as far as movie fare go.

 yes - and Uma....., :cloud9: I liked the first Batman the best though.

We actually have our own copy of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. I have all the comics, but I haven't read them yet....,

I wonder if sometimes we are too close to the source material - Ghost Rider was a good movie if you don't let character you know from the comics affect your perception.

The Hulk movie, however, sucked any which way you looked at it.

I'm puzzled as to why American Splendor has been getting steady votes from the outset. I watched it for a second time last week - it's a good movie! Anyone who voted for it care to chime in?

Maybe it is because people never saw it. I haven't seen most of these movies that are listed, including American Splendor.
