2 Free Comic Book Day Events in Toronto tomorrow

SILVER SNAIL will be celebrating its 32nd Anniversary tomorrow.

That means prizes, sales, and give-aways of their new 32nd Anniversary poster by Steve McNiven (Amazing Spider-Man, Marvel's Civil War, etc.) who will also be in attendance on Saturday along with

- Stuart Immonen (Ultimate Spider-Man, Next Wave, etc.),

- Leonard Kirk (Marvel Adventures The Avengers, World War Hulk Aftersmash: Warbound, Agents of Atlas, etc.)

- Ty Templeton (Howard the Duck, Bongo Comics, Exterminators, etc.) and more.

In conjunction with comics industry holiday FREE COMIC BOOK DAY, The Beguiling is teaming up with The Toronto Public Library, Owlkids, and The Burrow Art Centre to present FREE COMICS FOR KIDS DAY! It's a mini-convention that will feature all kids of events for kids ages 3 and up!

 

Running from 12 noon until 5pm on Saturday May 3rd, 2008!

Author presentations by top-notch graphic novel artists and authors, at 1pm and 3pm, including story readings, how-to-draw sessions, and more!

 

Art and craft activites provided by The Burrow Art Centre!

FREE COMICS and Owl Magazines for kids under the age of 13! Limit of 3 comics/magazines per person, please.

Jeremy Tankard is an award-winning illustrator and graphic novelist. His first picture book is Grumpy Bird, published by Scholastic, and it's become an instant classic! I'll probably head down to the signing at the Snail for a while, I might even look to getting that Superman book signed for Paratrooper by Immonen, but as I mentioned in my LJ earlier today, I don't consider FCBD as a day for preaching to the converted.
