How long did it take you to amass that sweet JIM lot you have on the block?

I don't know. 3-4 years? They are tough books to find in high grade. I've been bugging every major dealer I know for years for high grade JIM books and they never have any. It is probably THE single most difficult early Marvel run to put together in VF or better.

May you sell them and snag that investment opportunity. I've admired those covers from afar, but haven't made the plunge yet. I got the feeling after hearing and seeing things that they weren't common in high grade.

#85 and #86 are a little more common for some reason but you NEVER see #84, 87, 89, 90, 91, 95 higher than VF range. You'll see a Unicorn before you see one of those in VF or better. I love that run.

 

Kirby has said that it was his favorite title to draw.
