Ed Benes 2008 Sketchbooks now available! SKETCH COVERS!!

Ed Benes’ 2008 sketchbook is back from the printer, and it looks FANTASTIC!! This new book (affectionately entitled, “Oh, the Things He Can Do With His Pencil!!”), includes a very sexy wraparound cardstock cover and 24 jaw-dropping pages of Ed’s best pencil, pen and ink, and grayscale pinups from the last two years.

 

The sketchbook is $12 + $3 s/h (add 50 cents shipping for each additional book).

 

If you would like to order sketchbooks in quantity, they are $10 each when you order 10 or more.

 

There is also a SIGNED limited edition of 150 numbered copies!! The signed edition is on cream cardstock and is $25. (limit of 3 per person).

 

Bonus!! If you order the regular edition in quantity, you can also order one signed copy for every 10 regular copies purchased…so if you order 50 of the regular copies, you can then order 5 signed copies.

 

As if that isn't enough, there is also an incredibly rare SKETCH COVER VARIANT!! This is an extremely limited run of 26 lettered copies. All of the lettered copies have already been reserved by members of the ComiConArt mailing list, but there are 5 Artist's Proof copies also available. Originally we were going to let Ed draw whatever he felt like on the AP copies, and sell them on the site...but we've decided to offer them here first. Even better, YOU get to decide who Ed draws on the cover! Ed rarely has time to do commissions of any kind (I believe he’s only done TWO commissions over the last year and a half and he has never done a con appearance), so for all of you that have been waiting and waiting for a chance to request something directly from Ed, this is your GOLDEN opportunity!!

 

The sketch covers are $250, and are strictly ONE PER PERSON. All orders will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.

 

Ed is signing the limited edition covers as we speak, so they will take at least 3 to 4 weeks for delivery. The regular edition is ready to ship, but I will hold them until the other covers arrive if you decide to order both. We anticipate that the sketch covers will take 3 to 4 months for delivery as Ed’s schedule is quite full at the moment as he continues to work on JLA and the double-sized Superman/Batman #50.

 

…and on an unrelated note, Shane Davis has decided to sell the cover artwork to Superman/Batman #46, which is his personal favorite cover from the run. He is asking $3200. Just shoot me an e-mail if you are interested!
