Have you seen Steve Nile's Remains yet. Looked promising, for an IDW production that was actually made into something. lol

It's in transit right now, should get it tomorrow (picked it up with stake land from amazon).

Ordering dead season and zombie 108 next...

Is Ladda Land a zumba-flick or just another "Ring" wannabe. It's wierd, I was watching Young Frankenstein yesterday and realized 1932's "Frankenstein" might be the first mainstream movie sucess for re-animated zombies. It made me seek out original books from the 1850's about John Murray Spear (Mary Shelley's inspiration) actually (a little digression from all this TWD #100 talk lol ).

my 2c

Hero Initiative helps old comic creators www.heroinitiative.org

Comic Book Legal Defense Fund (CBLDF): Kind of the ACLU of the comic book world www.cbldf.org

Either one is a great comic book related charity.

Also, maybe you could spread the joy by splitting amongst "moore" than one charity?

Jeff, whatever and whenever you choose, THANKS!

If you do an auction, skip the personalized part. Since the winner is basically paying for it, let them decide if they want it or not. 2c

However, if you do a contest and give it away do whatever you want to prevent flipping. (thumbs u

If you do it, that's incredibly generous of you. (worship)

Completely agree. I am leaning towards the charity auction right now.

So the specifics of the book. SS or Universal. Creators and Actors? I assume the #1 would be the book of choice.

Maybe also a Chew #1. Anyone familiar with running a charity auction here on the boards?

Those are great and, I hope not too painful.

hm

Wonder what the most painful WD cover tat would be? 35? Least, 61?

Oh wait, it would be all 16 or 17 variants of issue (also, counting 2nd print) 100. Duh!

More progress on my tattoo, still not finished, but I love it so far :cloud9:

my GF knows a woman on twitter actually named Michonne, and what's funny is that she's actually a lawyer and just about a month ago found out who the character was. ash, can you post the other WD tattoo you have? (you do have two right, i think i remember that)

Haha, that is cool!

Yep, I have the art to #8 on my arm:

Cool tats. Michonne's face looks a bit odd though but I can see it's not finished yet.

Yeah, the cell phone pic made her face look a bit off, it does not look distorted in person :cloud9:

I'll try to get some better shots of it ;)

It's not so much the "what" as it is the "where" when talking about tattoo pain.

From Diamond Comics today........

To our retail partners –

Last month, Image Comics released the 100th issue of The Walking Dead to near-universal acclaim and the biggest first week sales of a single comic book since 1997.

We couldn't have done that without you.

When Robert Kirkman first launched The Walking Dead in 2003, orders were under 10,000. In fact, they were just a hair over 7,000. But we sold out immediately and within a few months, sales were moving upwards. Better still, thanks to your enthusiasm and support, sales have kept moving upwards – if not every month, then most months – and today, The Walking Dead is being ordered in quantities almost 10 times that of the first issue.

That's a true success story – not just for Robert Kirkman and Image Comics, but for the entire Direct Market.

Everyone at Image, as well as Robert's Skybound imprint, is incredibly appreciative of your hard work and support. We wouldn't be here without you – this industry wouldn't be here without you – and while we may not say it nearly often enough, we are eternally grateful for everything you do.

With that in mind, we're sending you a special limited edition variant for The Walking Dead #100, signed by Robert, and featuring the now infamous Lucille. This is one of the rarest of all the variants for issue #100 and will not be available for order, and it's our hope that it helps to convey our gratitude for your business and your continued support.

So again, from Robert Kirkman, Charlie Adlard, everyone at Skybound Entertainment and Image Comics, and myself – THANK YOU.

Eric Stephenson

Publisher

Image Comics

So this would be another green label WD 100 issue :eyeroll: 'Thanks for nothing' comes to mind.

Jerome

The rumor is all the cover is basically just a black cover with the "baseball bat" on the cover. (shrug)

Found these in the way back of the room at WW Chicago and subbed them the same day lol

Some guy had the whole run "raw" in a long box, and I got first crack going through.

Nothing like instant CGC on-site gratification.

This pic also makes me :( as those are the 3 of the missing 4 books I need to complete my full run. I need to find a 'raw' longbox somewhere.
