I'm not buying the WW variants anymore. I can't justify the expense.

The OCD in me wants to own them all but I can't

1 - 48 (+ variants) would be a much nicer goal to focus on than bothering to keep up with everything new. 2c

If the print run was so high then why don't you see more than 300 completed sales on ebay? Wouldn't it be closer to 4 k by now?

Revival #1 had a print run of around 18,000 - are there thousands of completed sales of that book on eBay?

whats the rush? Honestly, get them in time. All the people that say TWD books are going to crash, so why not buy them in a few years?

What number is huge? 1 k, 5 k considering the print runs of the regular issues is jumping higher and higher? The census isn't giving me much to go on.

I'd say 5K is probably going to be the low # on these.

I thought these were given away to all attendees of the Wizard World shows. If you figure the NY one had 40K attendees, i figure they'd be printing at least that. But I have no actual idea, just guessing.

There's no chance the print run of any of these variants is less than 10k.

If so, then why did they do second prints on the Portland variants? Is maybe this one way underprinted compared to the others?

If by underprinted, you mean less than, say, 5,000 copies, I don't think that's the case at all - but the Portland variant was not only the first one they did, it also premiered at one of the small Wizard World shows. As far as I know, no other shows have run out of copies to give away ...

I may be insane and wrong, but TWD IS one of the top-rated shows on TV and does drive people to the books. I don't forsee the show ending anytime soon (at least three years minimum). Am I missing something on the impending TWD books crash... (shrug)

I have and was labeled a "WD defender coming out of the woodwork." I can say anything will fall: gold, silver, housing, retail, comics, the Euro, etc. And when it does say, "Told ya so." In the end, no one knows. It's anyone's best educated guess. I'm sure years from now that TWD will falter... the show will end and back issues will be forgotten about. Then in 15-20 years all those 12-18 year olds who "grew up watching TWD" will want to put a run together and prices will rise again. Kinda like me wanting a copy of TMNT #1

Heck... I paid $5 for a "Fryin' Ryan" Garbage Pail Kid... nostalgia :cloud9:

In my opinion, they never should have printed the mailed out copies as "second print" 2c

I think all these groups are going to tie into where they are taking the show.

They will be 'units' in Ricks (and hopefully Abe/Rosita's) Army.

You know the one I keep going on about... lol

I really think the show is heading into 'fightback' mode - and Kirkman is paving the way via the comic 'format'.

I really hope so.

I still really hope Michelle Rodruigez is cast.

I know shes got 261 DUI's and is totally gay - but that is one kick-butt chick!

The promos look too "digital" to me to be dropped into the current series. I think it'll be something gaming related. Whether its got something to do with telltale or maybe a CoD type spinoff. Who knows. Guess we'll see tomorrow.

No but there are roughly 10 percent of Revival #1's that have been listed on ebay. I just haven't seen anything close to a fraction of 10 percent of the wizard world variants on ebay yet. In fact there are less than 1 k total completed sales and there has been 4 covers so far. Its a little suspect if these were as highly printed as everyone thinks
