There is a #1 black label ending tonight. The last one ended for $3750. Any guesses where this one will end?

$2350. Not too bad!

$1400 difference from the one that sold before.

To me that's seems so strange. I know a collectible is only worth what someone is willing to pay/ + FMv, but damn, that's a huge difference. You could have 2 WD #1 for $3750... lol Stinky fish smell if you ask me.

That high sale was legit. Remember that auction on eBay that was a complete run of slabbed Walking Dead? The buy who bought that also won the WD 1 9.8 black label that sold for $3750, or at least I read the somewhere in this thread.

It appears that it was just a great alignment of circumstances - right buyer, right time, and probably the only 9.8 black label on the market at the time.

I see this often in my auctions (shrug) I find the $0.99 start on WD slabs gets more people interested. Then people get caught up in the moment and bid more than they probably should. I think it's the feeling of, hey I might get this for a cheap price, then the last second bidding gets them going.

Then again, most people just don't know what the going price is on some books, and they bid what they think it's worth. Usually an amount much higher than the it is lol

The .99 start works great with hot books... Just like you said..

But don't do that with warm or cold... You might just get the .99 only.

(Speaking from experience. :sorry: )

lol

Very true (thumbs u Regular WD books seem to work out pretty good, the over printed variants, not so much. If I feel that it will not go over well, I just start the price at the minimum I'd like to get and keep my fingers crossed lol

Walking Dead Risk and Monopoly are coming out soon. I have a friend who works in a comic book store and loves games; they are doing a Risk night the week #115 comes out. He says WD Risk is based on the events in #115 so that should be pretty interesting. Makes sense, since Risk is based on different factions attacking each other.
