There is a theory that there's some padding in the numbers, but when called on it on the EBay forums, a Paypal rep stated that "all sellers under-weigh/measure, so we're just compensating".

Which makes absolutely no sense, since the weight and size is right there on the label, and if it's wrong and the package gets sent back, there is no evidence that Paypal overcharged.

Just another cash grab.

I just read the paypal section of the ebay forums for the first time. Wow... what a train wreck. The content is so negative it would fit perfectly on paypalsucks.com.

The chargebacks, non-performing buyer and seller protections, loopholes in paypal policy that they use to wriggle out of any responsibility... the list of complaints just goes on and on.

It's simply stunning that a company that provides such poor customer service can stay in business. Oh that's right... ebay has rigged the game so users don't have much choice.

Does paypal shipping seem to be getting higher on rates every other day?

Paypal does not charge for shipping...in fact it is cheaper using Paypal since everything is done via the USPS website and there is a discount given when processed online...

This is from the Paypal website:

Simplify Your Shipping With PayPal

PayPal offers a free, convenient and easy way to take care of your shipping needs with a variety of helpful shipping tools - with no hidden fees.

Yep, exactly why I stopped using paypal about four years ago.
