Just picked up the first four issues last week. Read them today, hooked. Is this still going on ? And when is the next issue slated for release ?

Bryan Glass was showing off a xeroxed copy of issue #5 in Chicago - as far as I recall, he said it was coming out in July. Great series, btw.

So has anyone read both this series AND Mouse Guard? Comparisons?

 

I never picked up this series because I thought it was a knockoff of Mouse Guard (which is excellent)

I pick up both series, and they couldn't be more different. If you disregard the artwork (Petersen's & Oeming's styles are like night & day), the stories they are telling have absolutely nothing in common - with the exception being that they both deal with mice/rats.

 

I personally like the look of Mouse Guard better, but find the storyline a lot more simplistic than Mice Templar.

 

No matter what, though, they are both excellent series.

 

(And, btw, Mice Templar actually came first )

Mice Templar is just a great story. I had a chance to meet the writer awhile back, and he saidit would be ongoing for awhile. So I look forward to seeing where the title leads. I highly reccomend reading it!

I also enjoy this series very much. If I had to chose between MG and MT, I'd have to take MT. However, lucky for me, I can read both.
