Cleaning old dry mold from a comic book cover

I came across the following in a listing and was "really" curious what a conservator would do to clean such a thing. It's interesting to note that "underneath" the whitish layer of mold I can clearly see the graphics, so I was wondering if such a thing is truly salvagable.

I am thinking you might have to talk to a professional restorer on that one. I have no idea.

Have to agree. Wonder Bread is not going to do the job on this one! I'm pretty confident that you'd get an 'E' for extensive if you had this restored and then it was slabbed.
