I have indeed, and it's all purely down to posting my list on here. Most of the thirty are from Doug Sulipa, who e-mailed me because he saw the list on here, so I'm incredibly grateful and glad I put the list up. The response has been marvellous.

No. Who's Gary Carter ??? Does he sell comics ??? How do I get in touch with him ????

He was the short guy on the series "Different Strokes".....ohhh, wait....that was gary coleman foreheadslap.gif

Gary CArter is the catcher for the Montreal Expos and was part of the Maazin Mets team in 1986 that won the World Series...

Gary Carter started the fanzine Comic Book Marketplace (still in publication by Steve Geppi/Gemstone) and owned a size-able DC collection. I was told at one point he only needed 23 comics to complete his GA & SA DC collection. He was one of the original buyers of Mile Highs in the 70's. He lives in San Diego California. I do not have his number now, but others should, possibly Harley Yee or Dave Anderson know it. Geppi would have it.

Sorry I can't help with your want list, but I do have another question as a fellow DC collector...

DC RELATED COMICS

BLACKHAWK / UNCLE SAM - 3, 5, 6, 7, 11, 13, 25, 31, 33

MILITARY COMICS / MODERN COMICS at No. 44) - 16, 26, 29, 34, 54, 62, 65, 75, 76, 88

G.I. COMBAT (Pre DC) - 12, 23, 24, 33, 34

I too started out as a DC-only collector, but with all the companies DC/National has purchased, I found it easy to slide in to picking up Golden Age Quality and Fawcett books (Charlton too, by the way). How have you set the bounds on your collection? Must the original title have started at one company (Quality for instance) and then continued without interuption at DC/National? (Though I suppose that rule wouldn't work in the case of your Modern Comics run?)

Thanks & Good Luck!

I chose to buy all the Military/Moderns, all the Blackhawks, all the G.I. Combats, and not the rest. I couldn't face all the non-DC Heart Throbs and Young Loves. But the Blackhawks were SO DC that I didn't really have a choice.

The problem becomes all the Wildstorm stuff where so many runs became DC halfway through, plus I HATE most of them. The Americas Best stuff is great, but having to buy Steampunk, Wildcats, Stormwatch, Danger Girl, Gen 13, and Bay City Jive REALLY chokes me up. It's all a LONG way from the Justice League Of America issues that got me into collecting as a kid.

Strangely enough, I just realized that I have a nice solid VG G.I. Combat 23. Here's what it looks like:

I also thought I could help you out with a Leading Comics but the only one I have is #48.
