Popular Post KCOComics
This was my first successful marriage and I wanted to show off the happy newly weds. I'll post some before and after pics. I bought a coverless Detective Comics 26 from the boards with a married front cover and no back cover. I really wasn't looking for this particular comic, but it was love at first sight. A pretty front cover and the first time batman's name ever appeared in print in a cool teaser ad. I started hunting for a back cover immediately. After a few months, I found an incomplete Action 11 that shared the same back cover. The cover was already split, which I was happy about, because I didn't want to perform surgery on an 81 year old comic. I sold the rest of Action 11 to a board member who was able to complete his project. I then sent the book to Kenny Sanderson who leaf casted the cover back together and did some cleaning and pressing to make them match. Kenny's work is amazing. Couldn't be happier. I'm including a ton of pics of the before, the leaf casting process and after.
